11th Annual Meeting of the OECD Network of Parliamentary Budget Officials and Independent Fiscal Institutions

The OECD organizes annually the OECD Network of Parliamentary Budget Officials and Independent Fiscal Institutions and chose Lisbon for the 11th edition.

 

The chair of the Portuguese Public Finance Council, Teodora Cardoso, and the coordinator of Portuguese Parliamentary Budget Office (UTAO in Portuguese), Rui Nuno Baleiras, co-hosted the event that took place on February 4 and 5 in the Portuguese capital.

 

The approximately 110 participants from 36 countries exchanged experiences and discussed technical methodologies for the evaluation of budgetary policies during these two days, whose work was carried out in the Parliament.

 

The CFP´s Vice President of the CFP, Paul de Grauwe, participated in the meeting and made an intervention on the limits of the market.

 

During the open sessions, Jenny Wilkinson presented the Australian PBO's experience in understanding the impacts of fiscal policies.
