The Portuguese Public Finance Council (CFP) and the North Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N) promote a seminar dedicated to Sustainability of Public Finance: the new local finance law and Fiscal Strategy Document 2014/2018, which will take place on 27th May, at Centro Cultural Vila Flor, in Guimarães.
CFP President Teodora Cardoso will present the institution’s analysis to the Government’s fiscal strategy, after a brief presentation of this Document by Noémia Goulart, the CFP member responsible for the general government sector. A round table will then discuss the fiscal strategy impacts within the country and in the North Region, composed of Emídio Gomes, CCDR-N President, João Loureiro, Professor from University of Porto, José António Barros, President of Associação Empresarial de Portugal, and Domingos Bragança, Mayor of the City of Guimarães.
Local finances will also be debated in this seminar, with particular reference to the new Local Finance Law and the financial recovery mechanism. The CFP will take part in this discussion with the CFP Member Executive Rui Nuno Baleiras and Miguel Almeida, CFP analyst for local and regional finances. Manuela Gomes, from CCDR-N, and Francisco Veiga, Professor at Univerity of Minho, will also take part in this debate.
