Teodora Cardoso advocates reform of the budgetary procedure

Teodora Cardoso advocated a thorough reform of the current budgetary procedure in order to reconsider the logic of fiscal policy as an essential part of the political system and not as a simple funding mechanism. The CFP President’s presentation took place at the seminar “Fridays of Reform” on the 19th of September, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. The article entitled “To better manage common resources of the Portuguese: the budgetary procedure reform” — the basis for Teodora Cardoso’s presentation — aims to draw attention and bring into discussion these issues in Portugal. The options described here seem like a suitable alternative to alleviate the political and economic instability, besides being compatible with the European framework.
