The Portuguese Public Finance Council expresses its deepest condolences on the death of Dr Teodora Cardoso, its first distinguished President between 2012 and 2019. She was also at the origin of the CFP when, in 2011, Teodora Cardoso was a member of the working group set up to draw up the CFP's statutes.
Throughout her professional life, Dr Teodora Cardoso has played a decisive role in studying, monitoring and defending the Portuguese economy in her work at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Bank of Portugal and the Portuguese Public Finance Council (CFP), as well as in numerous public interventions.
For all the work she did throughout her life, the CFP would like to express its appreciation and gratitude by paying tribute to the woman and economist who made a huge mark and contributed to affirming the independence of this institution.
The CFP offers its most sincere condolences to her family and friends.
