Teodora Cardoso was guest speaker at EC Conference on Europe

Teodora Cardoso, President of the Portuguese Public Finance Council, was guest speaker at the Conference/Debate “Queremos mais Europa? Que Europa? Opções para o aprofundamento da União Económica e Monetária Europeia” organised by the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal, held at Palácio da Bolsa, Porto, on the 17^th June.

The Conference also included as guest speakers Pedro Magalhães, researcher of the Instituto de Ciências Sociais, José Leandro, Director of the European Commission, Economic and Financial Affairs, and João Ferreira do Amaral, economist. The debate was moderated by Graça Franco, Director at Rádio Renascença, and by the journalist Helena Garrido.

The outcome of this conference will contribute to the debate at the European level, bearing in mind the White Book presentation on the economic and monetary union, which will be published by the European Commission in spring 2017.
