Delegates of the 15th Annual Meeting of the OECD Working Party for IFIs and Parliamentary Budget Officials
Nazaré da Costa Cabral and Miguel St. Aubyn participated as speakers in the 15th Annual Meeting of the OECD Working Party for Independent Fiscal Institutions and Parliamentary Budget Officials, which took place in Reykjavik, Iceland, on 13 and 14 April.
In session 5, with the theme "OECD Best Practices for Parliaments in Budgeting - Implementation", the President of the CFP's Senior Board focused her presentation on the Portuguese Public Finance Council and its role in the Budget Cycle and other legislative initiatives.
Nazaré da Costa Cabral framed the interactions between the CFP and the Portuguese Parliament, namely the hearings of the CFP's Senior Board during State Budget discussions in parliament, the opinions requested from the institution on draft laws and the hearings in the Budget and Finance Committee on reports or publications.
In session 2, under the theme "Restoring Fiscal Sustainability", Miguel St. Aubyn was the discussant in charge of the conclusions of the panel, which included presentations by Lucie Villa, Vice President of Moody's Sovereign Risk Group, and Martin Larch, Head of the Secretariat of the European Fiscal Board of the European Commission.
