“Territory, economic development and institutions” by Rui Nuno Baleiras

“Territorial, economic development and fiscal decentralisation” was the topic of discussion of another seminar of the cycle “Friday’s of Reform”, which took place on October 24, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Rui Nuno Baleiras, Executive Member of the Portuguese Public Finance Council, presented the topic “Territory, economic development and institutions” and provided two strong ideas as a background to the debate: all regions contribute to growth; and the territory is where people and policies met. The discussion also included the participation of Linda Veiga from University of Minho.
